The agenda for the Search Committee meeting for Tuesday April 17th at 10 a.m. in the main library (Ville Platte) is posted.  To view the agenda, please click on the link for “Agendas and Minutes.”  The agenda is also posted at the library.  The meeting is open to the public.

The meeting will be held in the multipurpose room at the main library in Ville Platte. 

The guest speaker is Mr. Sidney Bellard who will be talking about his book:  A Cajun in France:Journeys to Assimilations: Travel with Pierre on his most unlikely voyages where he encounters the challenges of poverty … distinct cultures—Cajun, American and French. Here’s his bio:
Sidney P. Bellard has recently retired after an educational career of fifty years. He taught the subjects of European History, American History, civics, sociology, geography, English, French, and adult literacy. Administratively, he served as Director of Adult Education in St. Bernard Parish, and Vice Principal and counselor in a private school. Additionally, he served on state and national adult literacy boards and presented at state and national conventions on the topics of teaching problem adolescents and convention planning. His hobbies include reading, travel, writing, physical fitness, cycling, gardening, genealogy, cooking, and stained glass projects. Sidney now resides in Mandeville, La.
