Information about the program, the event calendars and other printables along with information about our performers is available on the website too. Our first grant-funded performer is actress, author, storyteller Daphne Thomas on Tuesday, June 6th. See the calendar in your registration bag or on this site for details.

The main library in Ville Platte will be closed Saturday, 5/27/17 and all branches will be closed Monday, May 29, 2017 in honor of Memorial Day. All branches will resume their normal operating hours on Tuesday and Summer Reading registration will continue.

We received a generous donation yesterday from PAA Natural Gas Storage, LLC, to help support prizes and supplies for Summer Reading. Unfortunately, the donation was received after calendars, brochures, and webpage were already set up, so we can’t add them to our printed materials this summer. Nonetheless, the Library Board and staff are deeply grateful for PAA’s support of our parish and of Summer Reading. Thank you so much!

The last meeting was May 16th in Ville Platte. The next meeting is scheduled for July 25th at 4 pm in Ville Platte. All meetings are open to the public, and public comments are welcomed. Refreshments will be served.
