The Library Board of Control will meet at 4 pm on Monday, March 28th, at the main library (Ville Platte).  A full agenda for the meeting will be posted no later than Thursday, March 24th.  The meeting is open to the public, and the public is invited and encouraged to attend.  Refreshments will be served.

The Friends of the Evangeline Parish Library will meet Tues. March 15 at 6 pm at the main library (Ville Platte).  Everybody is welcome.  Come meet the Friends, learn more about their activities, and congratulate them on receiving formal 501(c)3 status!

On Sunday March 13 the Basile Branch library will host part of Basile’s 100th anniversary celebration.  For more details, please contact Suzy Lemoine at the main library (363-1369) or Sherry Bergeron, Basile Branch manager (337.432.6794).

LSUA will sponsor “March Back 2 College,” an information event for adults who want to return to or start college.  A representative from LSUA will be at the Main Library (Ville Platte) from 10 to 11:30 on Sat. March 12th to answer questions about the admissions process, college credit already earned, financial aid, and areas of study at LSUA.  Participants are welcome to ask questions and come and go at their convenience.

The Mamou Branch library will be closed all day Monday, March 7.  The Ville Platte, Basile, Pine Prairie, and Chataignier branches will be open their usual hours.
