The recent rains damaged the children’s area in the Pine Prairie Branch Library.  The area is closed to the public until further notice.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Due to the hazardous weather conditions, the main library and all branches will remain closed today.  We expect to reopen at our usual times tomorrow.

The main library and all branches are closing today at 4 p.m. due to the impending serious storm moving in from Texas.  There may be flooding conditions, delayed openings, or building closures tomorrow, depending on conditions at specific branches and road conditions.  For more information, listen to KVPI AM FM or watch for announcements on this site.

The Friends of the Library will meet tonight at 6 pm at the main library.  We will enjoy popcorn and soft drinks and exchange ideas for upcoming Friends projects.  We will also learn about plans for the new main library and elect officers for this year.  Please come and bring a friend!

• $25 corporate

You are welcome to attend the Friends meeting tonight without joining to learn more about the Friends.  All our meetings are open to the public.
