The Evangeline Parish Library Board of Control will meet Monday, Jan. 27th, at 4 p.m. at the main library (242 W. Main St., Ville Platte). The meeting is open to the public, and public attendance and comments are encouraged. Refreshments will be served.
Some of the items on the agenda include election of officers, status of the library building project, review of the library’s Technology Plan and Electronic Resources Policies, and consideration of proposals for Internet service with increased bandwidth to all branches beginning July 1st. The main library and all branches will be closed Monday Jan. 20th, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We will resume operations at the regular times on Tues. Jan. 21st.
The Evangeline Genealogical and Historical Society will meet Sat. Jan. 18th at 9:30 a.m. at the main library. Everybody is welcome. Come and learn more about tracing your ancestors!
Now through Jan. 15th: Any items returned in good condition will have all late fines waived. In addition, you can receive big discounts on existing fines and fees already on your account if you settle your account in full during this time.
