Congratulations to the new Library Board officers! Former Vice President Jennifer Vidrine was elected president, and Ms. Katy Marcantel was elected vice president.
As January draws to a close, the work crews on the new main library project continue to impress with their wonderful work ethic. The work goes on steadily and the work site is kept in great shape.
As of Jan. 26th, the building was almost completely enclosed and roof work had begun. Also, more of the concrete parking and sidewalk area had been poured.
The Library Board of Control will meet Monday, Jan. 28, at 4 p.m. at the Main Library (242 W. Main St., Ville Platte). The meeting is open to the public, and public attendance and comments are encouraged. Refreshments will be served. An agenda will be posted at the library no later than Friday, Jan. 25.
