The Evangeline Genealogical and Historical Society will meet Sat. Oct. 19 at 9:30 at the main library (242 W. Main St., Ville Platte). Guest speaker will be William Thibodeaux, discussing his research on a famous local feud. Everybody is welcome, and refreshments will be served. This will probably be the last meeting in the current building!
