Due to road conditions in Chataignier, the Chataignier Branch will not reopen until next week. All other branches are back to their normal schedules of operation.
Thank you for your cooperation and support during the rains and flooding this week. The Library extends special thanks to board member Wade Riley and staff members Angie Henry, Becky Leger, and Suzy Lemoine for checking buildings and equipment during the weather closure.
Due to the anticipated flooding conditions, Chataignier Branch Library is closed for two days, Wed. Jan. 9th and Thurs. Jan. 10th. We hope to reopen at the regularly scheduled time on Friday and apologize for the inconvenience. This branch’s parking lot becomes quickly flooded and impassable in very heavy rains.
The Main Library and branch libraries will close at 4 p.m. Wed. Jan. 9th due to potential road flooding. We may have delayed openings on Thurs.
The branch library in Chataignier will be CLOSED Wed. the 9th and Thurs. the 10th, as heavy rains make its parking lot unusable. We hope to reopen it Friday the 11th.
Join the Friends of the Library at its New Year Kick-off Social and January meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 15th at the Rendezvous Restaurant in Ville Platte. Everybody is welcome.
We will meet in the reception room from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be served, and the restaurant will provide a cash bar. Members are encouraged to make dinner reservations at the Rendezvous for after the social. If you are interested in making dinner reservations, the Rendezvous contact number is 337-363-5599.
