Due to road conditions in Chataignier, the Chataignier Branch will not reopen until next week. All other branches are back to their normal schedules of operation.
Thank you for your cooperation and support during the rains and flooding this week. The Library extends special thanks to board member Wade Riley and staff members Angie Henry, Becky Leger, and Suzy Lemoine for checking buildings and equipment during the weather closure.
The Main Library and all branches are closed Monday Jan. 21, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
The Evangeline Genealogical and Historical Society will meet at the main library (242 W. Main St., Ville Platte) Saturday Jan. 19th at 9:30 am. Everybody is invited.
There may be delayed openings times of the main library and all branches (except Chataignier, which will be closed on Jan. 10th).

The main library and branches in Basile, Pine Prairie, Mamou, and Turkey Creek will close early on Wed. Jan. 9th due to anticipated flooding conditions.
There may be delayed openings on Thurs. Jan. 10th, depending on how the flooding situation develops overnight.
