This Saturday, 11/10/18, at 1:30 pm Author Lynn Shurr will present a lecture: “FAQ’S About Publishing”

 She will be pointing  out some of the pitfalls and surprises a new or aspiring author might encounter. This is a FREE event and the public is invited. Please get the word out. 

Lynn is also a former Louisiana library director.  Having retired fourteen years ago, she is frequently asked what she is doing with her free time.  Her answer: painting, traveling, reading, and writing, especially the last.  Soon after completing thirty years of library service in 2004, she began working on a funny, somewhat spicy, romance novel with a football theme. In her book, “Goals For a Sinner”. I invented my own Cajun quarterback, Joe Dean Billodeaux, who eventually takes his team, the Sinners, very loosely based on my hometown Saints, to the Super Bowl

Her first historical novel, Queen of the Mardi Gras Ball, and her first mystery/romance Mardi Gras Madness came out in 2012 followed by Courir de Mardi Gras which takes place in a small Cajun town not unlike Ville Platte.  “All but two of my books take place in southern Louisiana, a great place for wonderful settings and colorful characters,” said Shurr.  She now has twenty-three books in print with two additional titles to be released in 2019.
