Summer Reading officially is open.  Kids can start turning in reading logs for treasure chest prizes.  Also, we have our first summer performer: Rick Hessler, magician and balloon artist, will perform Tues. June 4th, Wed. June 5th, and Thurs. June 6th.

Rick’s performances will be as follows: June 4th at 10 a.m. Turkey Creek branch library, and 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. the Main Library in Ville Platte; June 5th 10 a.m. Pine Prairie branch library and 2 p.m. Mamou Teen Center (behind the Mamou branch library and the health unit); June 6th 10 a.m. Basile branch library and 3 p.m. Chataignier Community Center (beside the Chataignier branch library).  Rick appears courtesy of Decentralized Arts Funding as administered by the Acadiana Center for the Arts.

All performances are FREE to the public.  Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult (at least 18).
