The KABUKI DANCERS will be “Breakin It Down with The Origins of Hip-Hop Dance”! Please get the word out!! We booked these dancers especially for Tweens & Teens from all around the parish!
The Kabuki Dancers are a group of performing artists from the Acadiana area of Louisiana. As a group, they have performed and competed at various festivals, stage shows and competitions throughout the nation. Highlights include: The Apollo Theater NYC, local media appearances, as well as being a part of Festival International de Louisiane. Locally, we work within our library and public school systems to inform and influence those in our community in a positive way. We are artists with a message! Here are a few of programs: “Never Give Up!”, focuses on achieving goals through hard work and determination. Next, “Drop The B.E.A.T (Bullying Ends After Talking)” is our anti-bullying program featuring drums, spoken word poetry and dance. And third, “Shots Fired”, was a project motivated by the recent surge of youth gun violence. With this program we hope to educate our audience on how to channel negative emotions into self-expression through art and creativity.
