The program today at 2 p.m. in the Main Library is in progress, and everybody seems to be having a great time. It is full. Patrons are welcome to come to the 6 p.m. program tonight. The ventriloquist Donna Lavergne is doing a terrific job.
Donna will perform tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Pine Prairie and 2 p.m. in Mamou (Teen Center). She will perform Thurs. at 10 a.m. in Basile and 3 p.m. in Chataignier (Community Center). All performances are FREE to the public and are sponsored through a grant from Louisiana Decentralized Arts Funding, as administered by the Acadiana Center for the Arts.
The first day for Treasure Chest prizes is June 1st. Read 10 books to earn a prize draw. Maximum of no more than 2 draws per week and 8 draws total for the summer.
Prizes were purchased with funds provided by the Friends of the Library, Cabot Corp., and Cameron Corp. We thank them for their great support of Summer Reading.

All performances are FREE to the public. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited; please arrive early.

On June 30th, Vanora Franklin Legaux, storyteller, performs at 10 a.m. in Basile and 3 p.m. in Chataignier. Chataignier’s performance will be at the Community Center.
