The Main Library and all branches will be closed Tues. Feb. 12 for Mardi Gras.
The Library Board will meet the third Monday of each odd month (March, May, July, September, November) at 4 p.m. at the Main Library in Ville Platte.
If a meeting has to be rescheduled or a special meeting is required, the change will be announced as soon as possible but no later than 24 hours before the meeting.
Congratulations to the new Library Board officers! Former Vice President Jennifer Vidrine was elected president, and Ms. Katy Marcantel was elected vice president.
As January draws to a close, the work crews on the new main library project continue to impress with their wonderful work ethic. The work goes on steadily and the work site is kept in great shape.
As of Jan. 26th, the building was almost completely enclosed and roof work had begun. Also, more of the concrete parking and sidewalk area had been poured.
