Our last computer classes of the fall are Monday Nov. 10th. Tobin Deville will teach “Computer Security” from 10 a.m. to noon and “Computer Tutor” from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the new main library’s multipurpose room. Classes are FREE to participants. Registration is strongly encouraged (call 363-1369 to register), but walk-ins are also accepted on a space-available basis. Preference is given to registrants living, working, owning property, or attending school anywhere within Evangeline Parish.
These classes are for adults only.
Tonight’s “Talented Tuesdays” presenter is local author Nancy Duplechain, author of the “Dark Bayou” trilogy. She will discuss how she publishes for Kindle as well as with physical books. The presentation begins at 6 pm tonight at the main library. Learn how to get started in E Publishing!
Today (Oct. 28th) through Thursday Oct. 30th the Mamou Branch Library is having a coloring contest. Pages will be colored at the library, and winners will be announced Friday Oct. 31st at 3 p.m. You do not need to be present to win.
The Evangeline Genealogical and Historical Society will meet Sat. Oct. 18th at 9:30 a.m. at the new main library (916 W. Main St., Ville Platte). Everybody is welcome.
As a very special treat, the guest speaker will be one of the reenactors from the Opelousas cemetery tours! We don’t know which one, so come be surprised!
