Computer training continues in Ville Platte on Monday, April 27th @ 10 am for Windows 8 Part 2 and 1 pm for Internet Part 2. Registration is required. Space is limited, but walk-ins will be accepted on a space available basis. On Tuesday, April 21st, the Friends of the Library dedicated their unique Little Free Library located on the grounds of the new main library in Ville Platte. It was designed and built by Jesse Muse to promote Community Reading. The Friends group is part of a worldwide movement and can be found on a world map of Little Free Libraries! Saturday April 18th the Evangeline Genealogical and Historical Society will meet at 9:30 am in the main library (Ville Platte) multipurpose room to hear a presentation by their guest speaker, Jane G. Bulliard. Her topic is, “How to Build Historical Context.” Everybody is welcome.
The main library (Ville Platte) will host two computer training classes on Monday April 13th. At 10 am to noon, the class is Email 101. From 1 pm to 3 pm the class is Windows 8 part 1. You can sign up for either or both classes. Registration is requested because space is limited to 15 participants for each class, but walk ins will be accepted on a space-available basis.
