At the Library Board meeting on Tuesday, the Board approved August as “fine free month.” Any items returned in good condition during August will have all fines on them waived. In addition, we will be offering significant discounts on previous charges on accounts if the discounted amount is paid in full at one time during the month of August. For more information, please call 337 363-1369 (main library) or the branch of the Evangeline Parish Library nearest you. Items can be returned at any of the six locations–it does not have to be the location where they were checked out.

Frank Levy, the interactive theater guy, performs this week!  He is at Turkey Creek Tues. July 21st at 10 a.m. and at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the main library (Ville  Platte).  On Wed. July 22nd he will be at Pine Prairie at 10 a.m. and at Mamou at 2 p.m.  On Thurs. July 23rd he will perform at Basile at 10 a.m. and at Chataignier at 3 p.m.

Frank is our last performer for summer 2015.  He has performed in Evangeline Parish before and has gotten great response from the kids.

All performances are FREE to the public.  Frank’s performances are sponsored in part through a grant from Decentralized Arts Funding, as administered by the Acadiana Center for the Arts.
