Ms. Suggs is an individual artist who lives in a small rural community in Louisiana.  Here is her story: “I began painting many many years ago and one Christmas came up with the idea of painting my sisters favorite book spines as a gift. She loved it, so Books on Canvas was born creating book cover art.As I am a book lover myself as well as possess a passion for painting I combined the two and established Books on Canvas.   All paintings are custom painted by myself, and they make the perfect gift for any book lover!” Examples of her work:

The Library Board meeting for Tues. Sept. 27th at 4 pm is scheduled for the Mamou Branch Library, not the main library in Ville Platte.  The Board meets in Mamou for fall and winter meetings, then in Ville Platte for spring and summer.
