The Evangeline Parish Library Board of control and the staff wish all of our patrons a happy and healthy New Year! 

New Year’s closing notice: The main library and all branches will be OPENED on Monday, (12/30/19) but will be CLOSED on Tuesday (12/31/19) & Wednesday (1/1/2020).  All will open again on Thursday, 1/2/2020.

At the main library: Allons Parler en Français, our friendly, relaxed conversational program, will be held Monday, 12/30/19 @ 3 :30 pm.  This is a free program for folks who want to speak OR listen to French and the coffee is always hot!

Our Fine-Free period will began on December 16^th and will run until January 16, 2020. Monday, December 16^th, our annual Fine-Free period will begin and will run until January 16, 2020.Books returned in good condition will have overdue fees waived.

Monday, December 16^th @ 4pm, the main library will host a “Meet the Author” event featuring Christopher Fontenot. He will introduce the third book in his Acadian Prairie series, “Amelie”.  The public is invited. Acadian Prairie 

Wednesday, December 18^th @ 4 pm, our “Books & beyond Club” with staff member Tina Davis will meet with kids for holiday painting and to enjoy a holiday party!  New members are always welcomed.   

Thursday, December 19^th @ 3:30 pm, the Mamou Branch Library is hosting a Christmas craft event for the kids at the library. Please get the word out!

Thursday, December 19^th, the Basile branch library will host a “Photo with Santa” event @ 10 am.
