Happy Mardi Gras, y’all! The Mamou Branch library will be closed this Monday AND Tuesday (24th and 25th). The main library and all other branches will be closed ONLY on Tuesday (2/25).
“Story hour for the Youngsters” will be offered this Thursday ONLY @ 3:30 pm in the Children’s Room.
Tuesday “Drop-in Crochet Gatherings” @ 5:00 pm. This is a sharing group. Anyone interested in Crocheting together to teach and share with others are welcomed. Folks are asked to bring their own Crochet tools and yarn.
Wednesday, 2/26/20, our “Books & Beyond” program with Tina Davis for ages 8 – 16, will meet at 3:30 pm in the multipurpose room to enjoy a MOVIE! New members are always welcomed.

This Tuesday, Basile Branch Library will have its “Tuesday French Coffee Talk” (2/18/20) @ 9 am and following the Coffee Talk, Cajun Mardi Gras Mask maker and author Jackie Miller will be there for a book signing of her new book, “Why Run Mardi Gras?”! Please share this good news!

Our Monday conversational “French with Friends” gathering is at 3:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room at the Main library in Ville Platte. The coffee will be hot and the conversations will be lively. This is a free program for the public where anyone, any age, is welcomed! See pics on our webpage/
Tuesday, 2/11/820, the main library in Ville Platte is hosting an informational event for Peoples Health. Their topic is “The Advantage of Medicare Advantage”. This program is free and open to the public.

NEW – The FIRST TUESDAY of each month the main library will host a one-on-one grief counseling opportunity at 2 pm for anyone in need. This counseling will be free of charge and will be offered by the Louisiana Hospice & Palliative Care. The counselor is Sylvia Milburn-Johnson. The first session is February 4th. First come first basis.
