As a measure of abundant caution for our patrons, we are taking this action for the duration of Governor Edwards proclamation. The Main library and all branches will continue to operate their normal hours until further notice. Please note that the age requirement will be implemented: children younger than 10 must have an adult with them while they are in the library. Please contact your library for more information and to answer questions.

Our Monday conversational “French with Friends” gathering is at 3:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room at the Main library in Ville Platte. The coffee will be hot and the conversations will be lively. This is a free program for the public where anyone. Basile will have their next French Table on Tuesday, March 17th at 9 am. Please share!   

Tuesday @ 5 pm, our “Drop-in Crochet Gatherings” will meet.  Anyone interested in Crocheting together to teach and share with others are welcomed. Folks are asked to bring their own Crochet tools and yarn. 

Wednesday @ 4 pm our “Books & Beyond” program with Tina Davis for ages 8 – 16, will meet in the multipurpose room @ 4 pm for Hot Glue Painting!  See our webpage or Facebook page for details!  New members are always welcomed.  

Thursday, 3/12/20, the Library Board of Control will meet at the Mamou Branch Library at noon for a meeting. The public is invited to attend.

Tuesday @ 11 am – 1 pm, the main library will host an educational event for 232-Help. They will be discussing the current resources available throughout Evangeline Parish. This event is free to the general public.

Tuesday @ 2 pm, a grief counselor with Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care will be offering her time with anyone in need. 

Tuesday and Thursday @ 3:30 pm, “Story Hour for the Youngsters” will be offered @ 3:30 pm in the Children’s Room.
