The Library mourns the death of Mr. Gerald Duplechin. Mr. Duplechin was the Library Board of Control member representing the Pine Prairie/Turkey Creek area. He had resigned from the board recently due to ill health. He was a wonderful board member and a fine man. He will be very much missed.
In Mr. Duplechin’s honor, the Pine Prairie Library will be closed from 1 p.m. onward on Wednesday, July 1st, so that staff can attend his visitation and funeral service in Ville Platte. Visitation will be at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte, followed by the funeral mass at Sacred Heart in Ville Platte and burial. There will be a rosary at Ardoin’s at 2:15 p.m.
The discussion will revolve around their June choice by Harlan Coben, “No Second Chance”. The public is invited.
