Friends of the Evangeline Parish Library will have its first meeting of the new year on January 19^th at 5:30 pm in the multipurpose room of the main library. Election of officers will be held and plans for this year discussed.   Please renew your membership and help the Friends in our quest to continue supporting the great programs of our parish library system. A new Early Reading program designed to encourage moms to begin reading to their children from birth to Kindergarten begins this week at the main library in Ville Platte. It is called 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. Please visit the library for more information and to pick up promotional material.
