August is “Fine Free” Month!  It’s the Library’s way of saying “thank you” for all your support during the summer, and also our way of helping patrons get their accounts clear and ready for all the back to school activity.

You can return items to any of the six library locations (Ville Platte, Basile, Chataignier, Mamou, Pine Prairie, and Turkey Creek).  You do not have to return them to the same location where you checked them out in.  Items returned in good condition will have all fines and fees waived on them, regardless of how long they have been checked out.

Also, during fine free month, we will give generous discounts if you have to pay to replace a lost or damaged item, or if you need to settle old fines on items that were returned earlier but the fines on them not paid.
