As always, the public is invited to attend.
Monday, March 4th, the Mamou branch library ONLY will be closed. The main library and all other branches will be opened, in fact, on Monday at 3:30 pm Ms. Jo Millers’ “Fun with French” program at the main library will be crafting for Mardi Gras!! Tuesday, March 5th, the main library and ALL branches will be closed to celebrate Mardi Gras. The Library Board of Control and the Staff wish all of our patrons around the parish a fun, safe, and memorable celebration! The Evangeline Parish Foundation, the Evangeline Parish Chamber, and the UL Lafayette team are working on Project Engage will be at the Mary Foster-Galasso Multipurpose room of the main library in Ville Platte library to hold an open meeting with business and government leaders, parish residents, and Dr. Stewart and his team of 40 graduate students from UL. We will hold two 45 minute sessions, one after the other. The public is invited to attend this FREE event.
We have a new afternoon craft program for pre-teens that will begin on Wednesday, February 6 th @ 4 pm. It is called “Just Craftin Around” and will be facilitated by staff member Tina Davis. Come by to join or to find out more!
Ville Platte Main will be opened until 8 pm as usual. Also, tonight at Main is Family Movie Night from 5:45 – 7:45pm. We are showing “A Wrinkle In Time”. This event is FREE and open to the public.
