The Library Board of Control and the staff wish all Mothers a day of happiness and joy! 

Our Monday French program is back! Staff Irene Nichols will be conducting her own unique program @ 3:30 pm. The public is invited to join in! 

Ms. Pat’s Tuesday and Thursday  “Storytime with Crafts” continue @ 3:30 pm for ages 2-11.  Her programs will be in either the Children’s Room or Multipurpose room. 

Our Wednesday Just Craftin’ Around program with Tina Davis for our pre-teen / teens, will meet at 4 pm. New members are always welcomed.                                                                     

 Thursdays Quilting Club will meet at 1 pm at the Main Library to start on a new project! New members are welcomed.

We send out a “big thank you” to a new Summer Reading sponsor – MERCY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER!  They will join: Cabot Corporation, Bon Aimee’ Insurance & Real Estate Services, Basile State Bank, Vidrine’s Ace Hardware and Friends of the Library on our calendars, flyers, radio programs and more!

Early Notices: An Acadiana Center for the Arts representative will be hosting an informal grant information meeting for the public at the Main library on Wednesday, May 22^nd. Memorial Day Holiday closure dates:Saturday, May 25 and Monday May 27^th.   Summer reading early registration begins on Tuesday, May 27^th. And,  Wednesday, May 29 the Mystery book club will meet at 10:30 and new members are always welcomed.  Here comes Summer Reading !!!!!

We’ll be showing “Planet 54”! This is a precious PG movie that kicks off our summer reading theme of “A Universe of Stories”. This event is free to the public but space is limited. Click the link below to see the poster.

Ms. Viola Fontenot (Courville)

Author of “A Cajun Girl’s Sharecropping Years”, published in 2018. Her book was awarded the Louisiana Endowments for Humanities Book of the Year award! The public is invited to attend.

Tuesday, April 30^th, the main library will be hosting its’s Family Movie Night. The PG rated movie is “Planet 51” as an early kick-off to our Summer Reading program theme, A Universe Of Stories. This event is free and open to the public.
