A public hearing will be held on Wed. Sept. 19 from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the main library (242 W. Main St., Ville Platte).  Public input is strongly encouraged.  The hearing is to elicit public review and comments on draft Internet Safety and Social Media policies and on a draft Sexual Offenders in Public Library Facilities policy.

The Friends of the Library will meet Tues. Sept. 11 at 6 pm.  Special guest will be parish police jury president Bryan Vidrine.

The library system is closed Sat. Sept. 1st through Mon. Sept. 3rd, reopening at regularly scheduled time Tues. Sept. 4th.

The Library Board of Control will meet Wednesday Sept. 19 at 4 pm at the Main Library (242 W. Main St., Ville Platte).  The meeting is open to the public, and public comments are welcomed and encouraged.  Refreshments will be served.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new main library will be held Tues. Aug. 14 at 10 am at the construction site (old hospital property in Ville Platte, across from Citizens Bank and Mikey’s Donuts).
