The Main Library and all branches will be closed Tues. Feb. 12 for Mardi Gras.

The Library Board of Control will meet Monday, Jan. 28, at 4 p.m. at the Main Library (242 W. Main St., Ville Platte).  The meeting is open to the public, and public attendance and comments are encouraged.  Refreshments will be served.  An agenda will be posted at the library no later than Friday, Jan. 25.  For more information, please call 363-1369.

The Evangeline Genealogical and Historical Society will meet Saturday Jan. 19th, at 9:30 a.m. at the main library.  Everybody is welcome.  Come and learn more about family history and local history research.  Network and share information and research tips.
