Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care will offer a free program this Wednesday, August 11th, at 3 pm that provides information about resources that can help families dealing with any aspect of Hospice care. Please share this news.
French tables gather every Tuesday at 1 pm the main library in Ville Platte; every Friday morning at 9:30 am at the Pine Prairie branch library, and every other Tuesday at 10 am at the Basile branch library (next one is 8/22/23). Free coffee is always available too!
August is FINE FREE month at the main library and all branches. Return any item in good condition and have all fines waived. We will also take 50% off existing fines and charges for lost/damaged items if the balance is paid in full during this period. This is your library’s way of saying “Thank you” for your support year-round. Also, for a limited period, you can visit the main library to “fill up a bag of Friends of the Library books” for one dollar! Please share.
In these very challenging times, we’d like to remind the public about an opportunity to leave a memory behind in our “Memory Card Catalog” at the main library in Ville Platte. It is a simple way to be remembered by your family and library patrons forevermore. We are also collecting old library cards. The “Memory” forms are available now at the circulation desk of the main library in Ville Platte.
Visit the Facebook page of your favorite library branch to see information about programs unique to them. Also, visit our website www.evangelinelibrary.org for updates. You can always call the main library @ 337-363-1369 or send an email to [email protected] for more information and never forget that libraries do change lives…. even in the cloud! Suzy Lemoine
