CenturyLink through its Internet Basics Program is donating a special prize for the top reader (most books read during Summer Reading) in ages 8 through 16! As soon as we receive the prize, we will post what it is.
Children, tweens, and teens ages 8 through 16 throughout the parish are eligible to compete. There is only ONE of the prize, and in the event of a tie, the winner will be selected from a drawing.
The cutoff date for books to count is close of business July 19th.
Winner will be notified between July 20th and July 24th. The prize will be awarded to the winner at a special ceremony at the main library on July 25th at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Please note that this is a special CenturyLink provided prize for ONE reader in ages 8 through 16 only.
CenturyLink Internet Basics Program will also sponsor a training session on How to Find Books Online at the main library on Tues. Aug. 6th at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served. In addition, participants will receive information about the Internet Basics Program, which offers discounted Internet services to qualifying low-income individuals and families.
