Library Tax Continuation Election

Regular voting for the Library Property Tax Continuation will be held April 30th.  All parish registered voters are eligible to vote at their regular polling places.  The Proposition is to continue the existing library property tax for 15 years at 5.21 mills (the same rate that property tax payers currently pay).  This is a continuation of the existing tax, not an additional tax.  It is the only tax to fund the entire library system and all of its existing facilities (main library and five branch libraries).  There is no other tax that funds the library.  For more information, please see the informational flyers available at any of the library branches, or call 337.363.1369.
