Questions and Responses

Q: What is the data rate for current WAN and Internet Access Services.

A: The Evangeline Parish Library currently has a 20 Mbps Internet connection entering the main library that is transmitted to each branch in a star topology over a 35Mbps data transport with each branch receiving 3Mbps of bandwidth. (posted 12/2/2013)

Q. Is the bandwidth stated the only bandwidth you will consider?

A. No. What is stated is a minimum, as is clearly stated in the 470 and the RFP. We will be glad to consider other bandwidths beyond the minimum. However, all proposals for consideration must be received by Jan. 13th at 5:00 CDT. We welcome proposals with multiple alternatives from all qualified vendors. (posted 12/2/2013)

Q. Does “in writing” mean proposals must be submitted by methods other than email?

A. “Verbal only” proposals are NOT acceptable, but we WILL accept documents submitted as email attachments. Submit them to [email protected] with a cc copy to [email protected]. Documents do not have to be postal mailed or hand delivered. (posted 12/2/2013)
