Library Fest on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 9 am to 1 pm on the grounds of the main library in Ville Platte is where you’ll meet our unique and diverse VENDORS, Here’s a “hint” of what they’ll be selling: Adrienne Griffith (Bath Bombs), Pat Fontenot (Quilt & Bears, Artist Toni Lowrey (Crocheted & Acrylic art items), Kayra Guillory (Wrist Jewelry), Charles Fontenot (Art pieces), Brecky Thomas (Mosaic Art), Roxanne Thomas (Best Suits), Bob Lawrence (Yard Art), Betsy Pitre (Baskets), Brandy Israel (Tumblers), Toni Limogis (Jewelry), Morgan Blanchet (Embroidery), Katelyn Beaubouef (Greeting Cards & Bookmarks), AND THAT’S A WRAP for our Vendors as we do not have any spaces left this year. If you missed the sign-up deadline, please come to the festival anyway and be a part of our 2024 festival! Next week we will feature our Entertainment! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for information about all the other wonderful library programs that continue around the parish.
If you have not discovered the new “Little Free Craft Library” located near the front door of the main library in Ville Platte, please drop by with your child or children to pick up crafts that can be worked on at home and shared with family. This opportunity was developed by our staff member, Sandra Veillon, to keep the spirit of “making art” alive for kids even when the library is closed. We now have an area set aside to display any of the crafts that are created too! See Ms. Sandra for details. It is a compliment to the “Litle Free Book Library” located under the big oak tree that donated by Cabot Corporation.
Please visit the Facebook page of your favorite library branch to see information about programs unique to them. Also, visit our website www.evangelinelibrary.org for updates. You can always call the main library @ 337-363-1369 or send an email to [email protected] for more information and never forget that libraries do change lives…. even in the cloud!
