Preparing for Hurricane Ida! The main library and all branches in Evangeline Parish will be closed tomorrow, Monday, and possibly Tuesday due to the expected arrival of Hurricane Ida. Please be safe in these most uncertain times. The library Board of Directors and Staff will continue to do all that we can to keep our patrons safe during this resurgence of COVID in our Parish too. We extend very heartfelt expressions of sympathy to those patrons that we recently lost and pray for those who are facing the awful challenges presented by this virus. Please mask up and sanitize your hands often. Two reminders: (1) August is a FINE FREE month for the library system so no worries about late fines and (2) FREE WIFI is available in the parking areas around the library buildings. We do anticipate reopening around the parish on Wednesday, 9/1/21. Please check our webpage and Facebook page often for updates. MASK WILL CONTINUE TO BE REQUIRED.
