What’s Going On At the Library the week of April 22, 2019

On behalf of the staff and Board of Control, we wish all of our patrons around the Parish a very memorable and soulful Easter Holiday!

Ms. Pat’s “Storytime with Crafts” continue on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons @ 3:30 pm for ages 2-11.  Programs will be either in the Children’s Room or Multipurpose room. Our “Fun with French” program may begin again in May with Irene Nichols. Yeah! We will keep you posted.

Closure notice: Wednesday, April 24^th, the main library and all branch libraries will be closed for an all day, all Staff meeting. Normal operating hours will resume on Thursday. Note: There will be no Mystery Book Club meeting this date

Thursday, April 25^th, the Quilting Club will meet at 1 pm at the Main Library to continue working on their projects. New members are welcomed.

The Evangeline Genealogical & Historical Society Saturday, April 27, 2019 @ 9:30 – 11:30 am. Their speaker will be Ms. Viola Fontenot (Courville) author of “A Cajun Girl’s Sharecropping Years”, published in 2018.  Her book was awarded by Louisiana Endowments for Humanities book of the Year.  The public is invited to attend.  

Early Notice:  Family Movie Night is slated for Tuesday, April 30^th @ 5:45 pm. We will be showing   “PLANET 51”.  Families are invited.
