The Evangeline Parish Library and branches will be closed Tues. Dec. 31st for New Year’s Eve and Wed. Jan. 1st for New Year’s Day.

The main library and branches will reopen at their regularly scheduled times on Thurs. Jan. 2nd.

The main library and all branches are closed Tues. Dec. 24th through Thurs. Dec. 26th for Christmas holiday.  We wish everybody a safe and very merry Christmas.

The Library Board of Control has called a special meeting for Monday Dec. 9th at 4 p.m.  at the main library (242 W. Main St., Ville Platte).  An agenda will be posted no later than Friday Dec. 6th.

The meeting is primarily to discuss the construction and construction budget, although other items postponed from the Board’s regular meeting on Tuesday Dec. 3rd may also be addressed.  For more information, please see the full agenda on Friday.

The meeting is open to the public and refreshments will be served.  The meeting will include time for public comments, and public comments and attendance are encouraged.

The main library and all branches are closed to the public all day Wed. Dec. 4th.  Staff from all the branches are attending training at the main library.  They will also tour the new main library in progress.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  The main library and branches will open at their regularly scheduled times on Thurs. Dec. 5th.

The main library and all branches will be closed Monday November 11th, in observance of Veterans’ Day.  We will resume our regular operating hours on Tuesday.
