Look who’s coming to Library Fest on Saturday, November 7th!

As we are contacted by authors, vendors, cooks and artists, we will update this post. To date our featured authors are Debbie Lawson, Rhonda LeJeune, Christopher Fontenot, Bill Nash & Larry Jorgensen. Our outstanding, grant-funded performers are Storyteller Sylvia Davis, Magician Mitch Richard & Musician/Storyteller Brain Sivilas. Our awesome cooks are T’Nay Arvie, Cafe Evangeline & a surprise from the office of Lt. Governor Nungesser & the Louisiana Seafood Commission. Our crafters and vendors are Pat Fontenot, Toni Lowrey, Evangeline Arts Council, P.J.’s Crafts by Lisa Roberie, Mary Anne Shakesnider, Sharon Lowrey & Montex Estes. For inspiration and information we have Evangeline Parish Tourism. To give back to your community by being a blood donor we will have Vitalant Blood Services on site. And, as a special treat and coming back by popular demand is Antique Appraiser Michael Wynn.

This festival is free to all and will require masks and social distancing for the duration. We are looking to host more authors, cooks, vendors and artists. The deadline to secure your “spot” is October 30th. Email: [email protected] or call 337-363-1369 for information.

Our Books & Beyond Teen Club will meet on Thursday, Oct. 22nd @ 4 pm at the main library too make Bath Salts! New members are always welcome! Masks are required.

Next Week, Oct. 26th – 31st, our annual “Ask-A-Lawyer” program will be offered via online appointments for private phone conversations with an attorney. This is a FREE resource offered by the Louisiana State Bar Association. Call 337-363-1369 for more information.

Two new magazines that are now available at the main library, the Mamou branch library and also online through the library subscription are Unsolved and PI (Private Investigator). The next issue of Unsolved will feature Evangeline Parish!
