The first day for Treasure Chest prizes is June 1st. Read 10 books to earn a prize draw. Maximum of no more than 2 draws per week and 8 draws total for the summer.
Prizes were purchased with funds provided by the Friends of the Library, Cabot Corp., and Cameron Corp. We thank them for their great support of Summer Reading.

All performances are FREE to the public. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited; please arrive early.
Performances are made possible through grants from Louisiana Decentralized Arts Funding, as administered by the Acadiana Center for the Arts.
On June 30th, Vanora Franklin Legaux, storyteller, performs at 10 a.m. in Basile and 3 p.m. in Chataignier. Chataignier’s performance will be at the Community Center.
On June 29th, Vanora Franklin Legaux, storyteller from Gretna, performs at 10 a.m. in Pine Prairie and 2 p.m. in Mamou. Mamou’s performance will be at the Teen Center behind the library and health unit.
On June 28th, Vanora Franklin Legaux, storyteller from Gretna, performs at 10 a.m. in Turkey Creek and 2 and 6 p.m. in Ville Platte.
