At the Library for June 26th

This week we’ll finish off the month of June with a fun outdoor PETTING ZOO! The Honey Do Petting Zoo will be at the Turkey Creek branch library on Tuesday, June 26^th @ 10 am then later at the Pine Prairie branch library at 2 pm. On Wednesday, June 27^th they will be at the Mamou branch library @ 10 am then at the Chataignier branch library at 2 pm. On Thursday, June 30^th they will be at the Ville Platte Main library @ 10 am then at the Basile branch library at 2 pm. THIS SCHEDULE IS DIFFERENT FROM THE PERFORMERS SO PLEASE CHECK OUR WEBPAGE OR FACEBOOK PAGE. Don’t forget to register for the reading programs that are unique to each branch library that reward kids with prizes for books, Ebooks, and audiobooks that they check out and enjoy! We have a program for the adults too! Just ask! (Summer Reading Program calendars are posted on our website and available for pick up at all main and all branches). The Mystery Book Club will meet on Wednesday, June 29^th to discuss their book, “Run Rose Run” by James Patterson and Dolly Parton. Note: There will be NO meeting in July.

NEW: Our first Grief Counseling event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 28^th @ 2 pm. This is opportunity is provided by Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and is free to anyone who needs it. It is offered on the last Tuesday of each month.

Early Notice: The 4^th of July holiday closing dates are Saturday, July 2^nd and Monday, July 4^th. We have a date for our annual Library Fest! It is scheduled for Saturday, November 19, 2022.
