At the Library for Jan. 24th

How about starting off this New Year with a whole lot of good, self-education and take-me-away non-fiction books! Here are a few: “Canning & Preserving for Beginners” by Agatha Miller, “Country Living – The Original Manual for Living Off the Land & Doing It Yourself” by Carla Emery, Beginners Guide to Raising Chickens” by Anne Kuo, “Pioneer Woman Cooks” by Ree Drummond and a number of the Dummies series: “Backyard Homesteading”, “Blue Guitar – Lessons for Beginners”, “Working From Home”, “Quickbooks 2021”, and “Online Learning”.  For our fiction readers we have these on our new shelf: “Shadow of the Dragon” by Tom Clancy, “Greenlights” by Matthew McConaughey, “Spin” by Patricia Cornwell and “Marauder” by Clive Cussler to name a few. For the kids we have “C is for Country” by Lil Nasx, “Bronco & Friends – A Party to Remember“, “Love is my Favorite Thing” by Emma Clark, “The Cool Bean” by Jory John, and “Stella’s Setllar Hair” by Yesenia Mosises and so many more! As we continue to practice COVID Phase 2 practices of mask wearing and social distance protocols at all of our facilities around the parish.  All public programs are still on hold but our “Take & Make” crafts are still available for the kids at the Main library in Ville Plate.
