What’s Going On At the Library the week of July 8th?

We are so happy that our Monday afternoon conversational French program, “Allons Parler en Français, is growing!! The public is invited to join in at 3:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room of the main library with volunteer Jackie Miller. It is open to anyone who would like to converse or just listen in. Also at 3:30, the kids will meet in the Children’s Room with staff member Irene Nichols for “Something French!”  Please share! 

Tuesday, July 9^th, the Main library will host a Blood Drive with UNITED BLOOD SERVICES from 11 am – 3pm. Also, on the same afternoon our first class of a 5 week FINANCIAL EDUCATION BOOT CAMP sponsored by State Bank and Investar Bank will begin. This camp is FREE to the public but registration is required.  The dates are July 9, 16, 30 & Aug. 6 & 13^th from 6:00 – 7:45 pm. Folks can register online at http://bit.ly/sbtivbc.

Summer Reading around the parish continues as a Managers Program week beginning on Tuesday, July 9^th.  Please see our website to view our calendar of events as each library is doing something different.

Our Wednesday pre-teen/teen “Just Craftin’ Around” club will be meeting at 3:30 pm with staff member Tina Davis.  New members are always welcomed.

The Library Board of Control will meet Thursday, July 11^th at noon at the Mamou Branch Library. The public is invited to attend.

Early Notices: The Friends of the Library will meet on Tuesday, July 16^th at the main library at 4:30. Members are encouraged to attend and new folks are welcomed! Performer Geebo the Clown & Balloon Artist will be performing at main and all library branches the week of July 23^rd. Please mark your calendars to attend the last Summer Reading performer!
