What’s going on at the library the week of July 29th?

Our Summer Reading top readers will be recognized throughout this week at the main library and the branches! Each branch manager is customizing their wrap up programs. Oui, our Monday afternoon conversational French program, “Allons Parler en Français, continues this week!Join in at 3:30 pm at the main library with volunteer Jackie Miller. It is free and open to anyone who would like to sip a cup of hot coffee and converse or listen in. Also at 3:30, the kids will meet in the Children’s Room with staff member Irene Nichols for “Something French!”  Please share! 

The Financial Boot Camp  RESUMES this Tuesday, 7/29/19 @ 6 pm at the main library in Ville Platte.  

The Mystery Book Club will meet July 31^st at 10:30 am in the multipurpose room of the main library. New members are always welcomed. 

Our Wednesday pre-teen/teen “Books & Beyond” club will be meeting at 4pm with staff member Tina Davis to watch a movie!  New members are always welcomed.

FINE FREE MONTH begins August 1^st at the main library and all branches around the parish.

Early Notices:  BOOKFEST is slated for Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the main library in Ville Platte. New hours are 8am – 1 pm. Authors, vendors, community information agencies, cooks, musicians, and anyone looking to promote or sell their goods are invited to participate. Friends of the Library are planning their HUGE used book sale now!
