Sunday March 13th the Basile Branch Library will be open for special videotaping of residents’ memories of life in Basile.  This is a part of Basile’s 100th anniversary celebration this Sunday.

Update, Monday, March 14th: The Basile celebration was a great success!  Special thanks to Sherry Bergeron, Branch Manager, and Becky Leger, Branch Assistant Manager, for working at the Basile Branch during the celebration.  Also, very special thanks to former Library Board Member Elaine Deshotels, who coordinated the event for the town of Basile and who did the videotaped interviews with Basile residents throughout the day at the library.  For more information about Basile’s celebration and about the videotaping at the library, please see the article online at evangelinetoday.com.

Saturday morning March 12, meet representatives of LSUA at the main library (Ville Platte).  You can speak to representatives about prior college work, returning to college, costs of college, and more.  These sessions are designed for adults who wish to return to college or enroll in college for the first time.
