Kudos to the Basile patrons who completed a 1,000 piece puzzle while spending time at the library 🙂  The staff has already set up another puzzle! Take on the challenge in Basile and Ville Platte!
The Mystery Book Club chose its new book for the December 16th meeting, “In a Lonley Place” by Dorothy Hughes. The November meeting will be SKIPPED.
The main library in Ville Platte, in partnership with the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Library Association, is presenting its second annual ”Lawyers in Libraries” statewide program. This is a FREE informational event to get answers to general questions about Pro Bono legal services that may be available for a variety of legal issues. Attorney Laura Picard will be presenting in the Genealogy Room. The public is invited to attend.
The Library Staff and Library Board welcome two new Library Board members: Althea Gaynelle Coates (ward 5) and Bradley Ardoin (ward 4). Â Ms. Coates is a retired educator and former principal at Bayou Chicot. Â Mr. Ardoin is a retired woodworker who serves also on the board of ARC. Â They were appointed to the Board by the Police Jury at its October 12th meeting.
