IT’S ALMOST BOOK FEST TIME! Please plan on visiting the main library this Saturday, October 26th between 8 am to 1 pm to meet new authors, artists, food and craft vendors and food, food, food! Visit our website for a list of participants and Festival details. 

As we prepare for BookFest our regular programs will continue this week:

Allons Parler en Français at 3:30 pm at the main library always has new folks who want to speak or listen to French. The public is invited and the coffee is always hot!

 Tuesday, October 22nd, the main library will host Lawyers in Libraries event from event from 9 – 11 am. This is a FREE opportunity for folks to get some  quick legal advice. There will be a sign- up sheet to see the attorney so first come first serve.  

The last Financial Boot Camp is Tuesday, October 22nd.

Ms. Pat’s Mother Goose Tuesday and Thursday “Storytime with Crafts” continues @ 3:30 pm for ages 2-15.  Her programs will be in either the Children’s Room or Multipurpose room. 

The Mystery Book Club usually meets on the last Wednesday of each month. The October date is 10/30/19 at 10:30 am. The book for the month is “The Sentence is Death” By Anthony Horowitz.

Saturday, October 19thThe Evangeline Genealogical & Historical Society will meet at 9:30 am. Their guest speaker is Wade Falcon. He will give a presentation on the second Spanish period of Louisiana, discussing the genealogy of those surnames in Acadian, as well as highlighting the history of Ortega and other Spanish names in Evangeline Parish. New members are always welcomed!
