We are getting closer to our reopening. Please hang in there with us! You will see more activity at the main library by our director and a few staff members who are beginning the process planning the reopening which will include sanitizing all returned books and other items and, of course, all surfaces for the utmost protection of our valued patrons and staff when we do reopen.  This is a serious and time-consuming procedure so we ask for your understanding and patience. The branch managers are also doing the same. I mention this because some folks are asking if we are opened because they see cars at the library. We will keep you posted. In the meantime, we are NOT accepting any donations and it is OK to not return any books. Remember, this is a FINE FREE period. I hope some of you had a chance to experience the Book Walk set up on the grounds of the main library! Tina Davis switched it out for a new book for you to discover. Parents are encouraged to walk and read the “Book” with their children for a unique experience during this unsettling time. While you are there remember to our Little Free Library located on the picnic table in front of the main library in Ville Platte.
