Due to the approaching winter storm, the main library and all branches will be closed Tuesday Jan. 28th and Wednesday Jan. 29th.

For the safety of our employees, who would have to travel in dangerous conditions to get to work Saturday, the library will remain closed.  We will reopen Monday Jan. 27th.

The Main Library and all branches will be closed all day Friday Jan. 24th due to the weather advisory.

The Evangeline Parish Library Board of Control will meet Monday, Jan. 27th, at 4 p.m. at the main library (242 W. Main St., Ville Platte).  The meeting is open to the public, and public attendance and comments are encouraged.  Refreshments will be served.

Some of the items on the agenda include election of officers, status of the library building project, review of the library’s Technology Plan and Electronic Resources Policies, and consideration of proposals for Internet service with increased bandwidth to all branches beginning July 1st.  A full agenda is posted at the library.

The main library and all branches will be closed Monday Jan. 20th, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  We will resume operations at the regular times on Tues. Jan. 21st.
