The Ville Platte Main library will have a 2 pm ONLY Paper Crafting & Puzzel Making event appropriate for ages 6-17. Following the program, Miss Pat, our Storyteller, will be hosting her regular Storytime event in the Children’s room.

June 7, 2016, Turkey Creek Branch Library  @ 10 am and Ville Platte Main Library  at 2 & 6 pm. Wednesday, 6/8/2016, Pine Prairie branch @ 10 am and Mamou Teen Center @ 2 pm. Thursday, Basile Branch @ 10 am and Chataignier Village Hall @ 3pm. The event calendar can be found on our website by pressing the SUMMER READING 2016 on our website.

An organizational meeting was held Tuesday, May 31st, to organize the first teen book club for our library system! In attendance were teens from Pine Prairie High, Mamou High and Ville Platte High. The club name they chose is “Divine Minds” and their first book choice is “Divergent” by Veronica Roth. The June meeting date is set for Tuesday, June 14th @ 6pm. New members are invited!
