At the library for March 29

Prayers continue for the health and safety of our patrons and staff.  As we continue to weather this COVID 19 storm, please know that your library is offering lots of online resources for self-education, information, and entertainment. 

I am happy to share that Tutor.com has expanded their live tutoring hours for HomeworkLouisiana to provide additional support for students in our communities impacted by COVID-19.The new Louisiana one-to-one live tutoring hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to midnight. Saturday and Sunday live tutoring hours will continue as 2 pm to midnight as usual. These expanded hours will continue until May 31, 2020.As a quick reminder, you can access this site from our homepage www.evangelinelibrary.org,or the HomeworkLouisiana landing page – http://www.homeworkla.org/.  

Everyone will be able to continue checking out ONLINE books, movies, and audio books using our free app called Overdrive / Libby.  If you have an issue with your library card, no problem. You can go to Overdrive from our website and get a VIRTUAL CARD using your cell phone number.

Fine Free month is in full swing until May 16, 2020. This would be a great time for families to get together and gather books that may have been overlooked. 

Note: The quarterly Evangeline Genealogical & Historical Society meeting scheduled for April is cancelled.
