At the Library for December 6th

The library Board of Control will meet on Thursday, December 10^th at noon in the multipurpose room of the Main Library. The public is invited to attend. Masks and social distancing  are required

Due to the recent COVID 19 update and the Louisiana state move to Phase 2, all public programming at the main library and all branches have been cancelled until January 2021. Specific cancelled programs at main and two branch libraries are: Main – the French Table, Books & Beyond Teen Club, Brilliant Butterflies Storytime & Crafts for kids, Quilting program and the Mystery Book Club. Basile – the French Table and kids programs. Pine Prairie – the Bingo program.   For the youth in Ville Platte, our library crafters are offering “Take & Make” craft bags for the kids and young adults to keep them coming to the library! The staff genuinely appreciates the never-ending understanding, patience and support it continues to receive from all patrons! Thank you to all of the patrons who donated to our Toys for Tots and Food for Families collection! The Toys for Tots donations will be distributed by the Mamou Police department and the Food for Families donations will be distributed by St. Anne’s Catholic Church.

Lots of new books were recently added to our collections all over the parish so please visit a library near you to discover the rich variety of reads that awaits you! Also, don’t forget about using our digital items through Overdrive / Libby for Ebooks, Audiobooks, Movies and so much more!
